Beaverton Enters Into Negotiations With Developers For Westgate Site
Wednesday, June 10, 2015
"Westgate is an important location within the heart of downtown Beaverton and our Creekside District," said Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle. "Downtown redevelopment is a community vision priority. I look forward to strolling through an active, 18-hour downtown and am excited about the possibilities the team is exploring."
Development Plans
The ENA will support the redevelopment of the the publicly-owned Westgate site, which is located in the Creekside District. The proposal includes multifamily housing, a hotel, a publicly-owned arts and culture center, and a parking garage for Westgate and two adjacent parcels.
Westgate is a four-acre parcel located between SW Cedar Hills Boulevard and SW Rose Biggi Avenue. It is also viewed as a catalytic site, meaning it could encourage other development in the area.
