NEW: Klobuchar Drops Out of 2020 Presidential Race, Plans to Endorse Biden

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is dropping out of the 2020 Presidential Race, according to multiple press reports.

According to the New York Times, Klobuchar is expected to endorse Joe Biden and will appear with him at his rally in Dallas on Monday night.

Klobuchar looked like she had some momentum after she finished third in the New Hampshire primary. But, then performed poorly in Nevada and South Carolina.

"Amy Klobuchar has always been guided by the values she learned growing up in Minnesota. Her grandfather worked 1,500 feet underground in the iron ore mines of northern Minnesota. Her father, Jim, was a newspaperman and her mother, Rose, was an elementary school teacher who taught second grade until she was 70," she claimed in her bio - featuring her Midwestern values.

“Klobuchar, despite a strong third-place finish in New Hampshire, lagged her moderate rivals in every other state and was often seen as a candidate siphoning support. Though she had varying levels of support across the Super Tuesday map, polling within reach of leading candidates in some predominantly Republican states with open primaries, but it is unclear how much of a boost any of her rivals will see in the wake of Ms. Klobuchar’s exit,” writes NYT about Klobuchar.

She is the second candidate to drop out of the race over the last two days, after former Mayor Pete Buttigieg dropped out on Sunday.
