Portland Police Arrest Felon in Possession of Stolen Firearm

Jazman Antoine Moore, 36, was arrested and booked on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence. 

The Incident 

The arrest comes after Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement team officers stopped in the 17600 block of Northeast Halsey Street after observing the vehicle did not have any working taillights. 

During the stop, officers located a stolen handgun inside the vehicle. Based on information learned during the traffic stop, officers arrested the driver. 

The passenger in the vehicle, Xavier Thoele, 24, was also arrested and lodged in Multnomah County Jail on a parole violation. 

Investigation Continues 

The Tactical Operations Division's Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to investigate several incidents of gun violence citywide.
