The Sentinel Hotel lit up the city with support for PHAME—Portland's acclaimed lifelong learning arts program for adults with developmental disabilities—at their Sparkle! gala last night, with a starry, record breaking gala and auction event raising over $208,000 for PHAME's essential work developing creative potential in people with disabilities and reducing negative stigma around disability.

The event was PHAME's largest, most successful gala in its 30 year history.

Over 360 attendees packed the Sentinel ballrooms—including luminaries like Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, drag diva Poison Waters and many more—but the spotlight was truly on the student artists and performers of PHAME, who absolutely sang their hearts out in Hollywood music from the 80's and today, joined by event co-hosts Isaac Lamb and Amy Beth Frankel.

There was also an unforgettable parody song thanking the evening's sponsors, set to Frozen's "Let It Go" and sung brilliantly by PHAME Executive Director Stephen Marc Beaudoin.
