TBA Day Two: Dropping Gems Record Label Presents Electronic Music Performance

Friday, September 12, 2014

Dropping Gem's Philip Grass

Portland electronic music collective and record label Dropping Gems, presents a night of musical performace at Portland's Time Based Art (TBA) Festival, Friday September 12.

The performance features London's Little PeopleDJAO from Seattle, and Philip Grass

The featured artists add excentric live elements to their performances to creat an "immersive sonic journey," according to the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA).

PICA says guests should expect a night of intricate, synthesized soundscapes where traditional hip-hop melodies are flipped upside down.

The Dropping Gems show is part of 'The Works' where TBA goes after dark. Every night The Works features different performances and both guests and artists are encouraged to participate in late-night fun of eating, drinking, and dancing.

Dropping Gems at 'The Works' is held at Fashion Tech, 2010 SE 8th Ave. Portland, September 12 from 10:30 PM-12:30 AM.

The show is 21+ only, and costs $10, or $8 for PICA members.
