A wise man once described the perfect day as one in which "you laugh, you think, and you cry." Well, Portland, be prepared to have the perfect weekend filled with comedy, sports, drama, and of course, french fries!

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets

The first place Trail Blazers play host to conference rival Denver Nuggets at the Moda Center this Sunday. It's going to be a match-up of point guards with Ty Lawson matching up against Damian Lillard. Moda Center, 1 N Center Ct St., 797-9619. 6 pm, Sun. Nov. 9. Click HERE for ticket information.

Die Fledermaus

Rich in themes regarding revenge, lust, and comedic irony, Die Fledermaus delivers the total package. In the city lives Gabriel von Eisenstein who has it all, but in his procurement of wealth and luxury he made a few enemies. This play tells the tale of a certain Dr. Falke and his revenge on Mr. von Eisenstein. Keller Auditorium, 222 SW Clay St., 248-4335. Nov. 7-15, 7:30pm. Click HERE for ticket information.

Margaret Cho

Known for her adept awareness of American culture, Comedian Margaret Cho brings everyday occurences into a new, hysterically funny light. And honestly, you never know what she's going to bring up. Just be sure to not say anything negative about how she looks - you may get punched in the balls. Helium Comedy Club, 1510 SE 9th Ave., 888-643-8669. 7:30 and 10 pm Fri.-Sat., Nov. 7-8. $27.50. Click HERE for ticket information.

Burlesque S'il Vous Plait

The classic Burlesque show hosts a few well-known names, including Lady Monster, who's known for her speciality in twirling and her affinity for tassels. Hmm, I wonder what's next in store? I have a good idea, but be sure to check out the show being hosted by "Portland's Best Emcee", Zora Phoenix. Crush Bar, 400 SE Morrison St., 235-8150. 9pm Fri., Nov. 7. Click HERE for ticket information.

Boise Fry Co. Grand Opening Party

The award-winning fry company - known for serving fries with burgers on the side - is celebrating the opening its first restaurant in Oregon. Variations on the classic American dish goes above and beyond any standard expectations you will have from a company specializing in potato product. Boise Fry Co.,1902 W. Burnside St., 4pm-9pm Sun., Nov. 9.
