Credit Forces Combine To Organize Big Portland Float Event
Monday, July 13, 2015
The two credit union companies are coming together to "join the riverlution" at the upcoming The Big Float V.
The event invites the public is to "get into the river" and support its preservation and healthy development as a recreational resource - and to have a whale of a good time in the process.
"As cooperatives, it's in our DNA to work together. We are excited to team up with our friends at Trailhead for this fantastic community event," said Steve Pagenstecher, VP of Member Experience at Point West.
Look for the joint Point West/Trailhead booths, where you'll find all kinds of fun activities, from spinning the prize wheel to a variety of fun yard games like giant Jenga, horseshoes, ladder ball, and more.
Point West will also be asking attendees "What drives you?" and encouraging folks to post their responses to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #DriveHope. Each post supports Metropolitan Family Service's "Ways to Work" program with a $5 donation from Point West - plus, an entry for you to win a $250 VISA gift card.
The Big Float begins 11 am - 5 pm on Sunday, July 26 at the Waterfront. The event includes two floaters parades, a relaxing float on the Willamette River, live music, food and more.
