PBOT Urges Timbers Fans to Bike, Walk, or Take TriMet to March 7 Game

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is urging Timbers fans to take TriMet, walk or bicycle to the first home game at Providence Park on March 7, in order to keep streets and transit running smoothly.

Ample temporary bicycle parking is available at Providence Park, and people who drive are encouraged to park in one of the city’s SmartPark garages, according to PBOT. 

The price of parking meters in the area will be raised from the normal $1.60 per hour to $3.50 per hour, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., due to the game. Northwest neighborhood event Zone M permit parking restrictions also will be in effect during these hours.
