Sunday, November 02, 2014

A Portland-area woman being monitored at a Milwaukie hospital for Ebola-like symptoms tested negative for the disease, according to a report from KGW.

It may take several days for the results to be confirmed by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta.

The patient came down with a fever Friday morning after moving to Oregon from Liberia Oct. 28.

During a Friday press conference, public health officials said there was no risk for public exposure to the disease

The woman's host family said she was no longer suffering from a fever, according to The Oregonian.
