Oregon has the 4th highest percentage of divorces in the country, according to a report by TheStreet.com

In Oregon 13.4 percent of people are divorced, 49 percent are married, and 1.9 percent are separated. The ranking reflects the 10 states with the highest percentage of divorced people aged 15 and older.

About 40 to 50 percent of all marriages in the United States end in divorce, According to the American Psychological Association.

A 2012 report from the U.S. Census and data aggregation by Bloomberg shows which states have higher divorce rates than others. These states are spread across the country and not concentrated in one particular region.

Oregon ranks just below Oklahoma where 13.5 percent of people are divorced, Maine at 14.2 percent, and Nevada at 14.6 percent.
