Driver Crashes Into Columbia River on Northeast Marine Drive

Officers and Portland Fire and Rescue personnel arrived and spoke to witnesses who saw the vehicle leave the roadway and enter the water, where it is submerged.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office dive team is responding to assists with waterborne rescue and recovery efforts.
The traffic division's major crash team is responding in order to conduct an investigation into the crash.
Northeast Marine Drive is closed to all traffic between 158th Avenue and 185th Drive and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
