NEW: The Fossil Cartel To Leave Pioneer Place in January 2015

Local Portland retail shop, The Fossil Cartel is moving out of Pioneer Place in January 2015.

The Fossil Cartel is the last local independent store in Pioneer Place, and sells a variety of beautiful gemstones, crystals, meteorites, and other items.

“Because we are a small, locally owned business and would like to shine as one, it doesn’t make sense anymore to be associated with a mall full of national chain stores,” said owner Susan Landa.

They will be moving next to Foot Traffic at 333 SW Taylor in the Gilbert Building. Ann Scheuerell from SRM Architecture, will be making a creative collaboration space while incorporating fresh new elements.

“Location is extremely important in retail; also important is what you bring to the space. We intend to bring magic to our new home and cannot wait to share it with you!” said Landa.

The Fossil Cartel’s last day at Pioneer Place is December 31, 2014. The new location is slated to reopen by January 9, 2014 at 333 SW Taylor. The new store hours will be Monday - Saturday 10 am - 8pm and Sunday 12 pm - 5 pm.
