Kentucky Derby Watch Party

With the Kentucky Derby taking place this weekend The Woodsman Tavern will be hosting a watch party. At this free event the tavern will be serving brunch, including a southern classic, Kentucky Hot Browns. In addition, Mint Juleps will be served in fancy tin cups along with Lapsand Souchong, Cherry Heering, Angostura Bitters, and plenty of Bourbon. If you were already planning on watching the derby be sure to head to the tavern this Saturday.

Cinco De Mayo Festival

Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association presents the 31st Annual Cinco De Mayo Festival at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. This event is a fundraiser for the PGSCA’s charitable activities. There will be activities for all ages, including authentic food, carnival rides and live entertainment. In 2012 Portland’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration was selected by Oregon Festivals and Events Association (OFEA) for its Ovation Award for staging Oregon’s Best Heritage and Cultural Event.

Portland Timbers

On Saturday the Portland Timbers will be taking on the Vancouver Whitecaps in a must-see showdown. The Whitecaps are currently the number one team in the Western Conference. The last time these two teams met the Timbers lost, 2-1. There's no doubt that the Timbers will need your support as they prepare to play one of the best teams in the MLS.

Super Awesome Mix Vol. 2: A Marvel Quiz

With the highly anticipated film, "Avengers 2" coming out this week be sure to test your Marvel IQ at Belmont Inn this Saturday. Topics that will be covered during this event include films, comic books, and TV Shows. Those who attend this event will have the opportunity to win plenty of prizes.

Wine and Cheese Pairing

This Sunday kick off Oregon Wine Month with the PDX Urban Winery Association. At this event there will be twelve wineries represented that will be pouring samples. Guests will also have the opportunity to hear how these wines are made from the owners and winemakers. There will, of course, be bottles available for purchase. There will also be discounts on 6 and 12 bottle purchases.
