Hello there! My name is Mindy and I am about 9 years old. I have had a really rough start in life but I am ready to leave that all behind me and start fresh. I am currently relaxing in a foster home where I live with 2 young kids and and 3 big dogs. I am doing really well with all of them. I live with cats too and really I must confess that the relationship is not going so well. I would do better in a home without them. I LOVE fetching tennis balls. I am already crate trained! It is the best game. I am getting dome dental work at the shelter and then I will be ready to go home with you. Meika is one smart cookie! She is 5 years old and 45lbs. She loves going on car rides and is a sweet girl that loves to be by your side as much as possible, but is fine on her own also. She will need a family with time and energy to keep her active in both body and mind. She goes on runs with her foster mom and would love to continue to be someone's running partner in her adoptive home. She likes other dogs once she's been properly introduced to them, and would probably enjoy a home with a dog buddy to play with. She's nervous in new situations, but warms up quickly after she gets to know you. She will pull on leash if she sees other dogs, and is working on this in her foster home. She can be anxious/vocal, and the more exercise she gets, the less of an issue this is.
