The Tiki bar and restaurant, Hale Pele, launches their one of a kind brunch menu featuring Hawaiian-inspired dishes.
Hale Pele is known for its tropical dishes created by Chef Dekin Hom.
“His homestyle food is authentic, and he gives each dish a playful element that really brings out the flavors,” said Hale Pele owner Blair Reynolds.
So when you come in for brunch this weekend, you can be sure to experience genuine, island cuisine fit for Queen Liliuokalani herself.
The brunch menu is filled with what the restaurant describes as Hawaiian comfort food such as the Spam Sandwich, Loco Moco, Asian Omelet, French Toast, and Fried Rice with Eggs.
Since Hale Pele is also known for their cocktails that are bursting with tropical flavors, the bar serves up some drinks that will make you forget you’re in Portland and not Maui.
Some of the cocktails provided are Luau Mimosa, a Mimosa with fresh pineapple and sparkling wine, Kimchi Bloody Mary, a Blood Mary with locally made Choi’s Kimichi and either gin or vodka, and a B.G. Fizz that has lime, vanilla, and fresh gin.
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your brunch this weekend, Hale Pele is the place to check out.
Hale Pele, 2733 NE Broadway St (503) 662-8454. Opens at 4pm, Sunday - Thursday.
