Ecliptic Brewing Creates New “Orbiter IPA”
Saturday, February 21, 2015
The Orbiter IPA combines “C” hops (Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbus) to create citrusy hop flavored Indian Pale Ale, with a caramel malt character.
Ecliptic will also be relaunching the Spica Pilsner. The Spica is a light brown colored lager that has a rich herbal character with the hint of a spicy flavor.
“White Owl Social Club has been an awesome partner in this launch party, and we can’t wait to have everyone join us in the celebration of the Ecliptic family of beers,” said founder John Harris.
Guests will be able to sample and purchase the beers and beer-themed special menu items.
John Harris founder of Ecliptic Brewing began his career at McMenamins’ and spent 20 years at Full Sail. Harris ventured out on his own with Ecliptic Brewing combining his two passions brewing and astronomy.
Ecliptic celebrates the yearly path around the sun on planet earth, with a rotating food and beer menu with the help of Executive chef Michael Molitor. Ecliptic Brewing was voted best brewpub by Northwest Brewing News readers in 2014 and the Filament Winter IPA was named favorited winter ale by Oregon Beer Growler.
