Dig A Pony Hosts Mongers’ Lodge Night this Monday Night

Friday, April 24, 2015

Dig A Pony bar in Southeast Portland will host Mongers' Lodge Night this Monday, April 27th.

Dig a Pony's Executive Chef Ben Grossmann will provide tasty appetizers, complementary cocktails and a customized happy hour menu with the best of Face Rock Creamery's speciality cheddar blends. A live DJ will spin and fez hats are welcome.

Face Rock Creamery is a new cheddar cheese producer in Bandon, Oregon on the Southern coast. Founded in May, 2013, Face Rock Creamery has gained national acclaim and followers with its handmade cheeses.

The creamery’s flavor profile begins with 100 percent grass-fed cows’ milk - traceable down to a single cow - and finishes with small batches of cheese, according to Face Rock. The rugged terrain of the Southern Oregon coast is a result of storms and salty winds from the ocean waves, combined with high humidity and cool evenings that yield richer grasses year-round. Milk produced by grass-fed cows pastured in this tough, yet fertile environment develops a deep and complex taste that is featured in Face Rock products.
