Tuesday, December 02, 2014
KXL has partnered with Aerial Technology International to use Clackamas-based drones for breaking news reports.
KXL's VP of marketing, Randi Poole, told the Portland Business Journal that the drones will be used much like television news helicopters to gather video that can be posted quickly on their mobile app, station website and social media.
The station's co-founder Stephen Burtt, said that he hopes the drones will bring a new perspective to breaking news.
