Carrie Ann Schubert, the owner of Beaverton Bakery, will be the judge of a cookie and pie bake-off.
Partnering with the Beaverton Downtown Association, Beaverton Bakery celebrates its 90th anniversary today with dancing, carnival games, and tasty desserts. The anniversary party will take place this afternoon from 4pm - 8pm.
This will be a party to remember as residents can take part in dancing or getting a chance to dunk Mayor Denny Doyle in the “dunk tank.”
That’s right, Mayor Doyle has volunteered to be a target in the dunk tank to help raise donations.
Additionally, Carrie Ann Schubert, the owner of Beaverton Bakery, will be the judge of a cookie and pie bake-off.
"The Beaverton Bakery has been part of our community for an astounding 90 years. I’m looking forward to celebrating and honoring one of our most famous local businesses,” said Mayor Doyle.
So get your holiday weekend started early by supporting a local business, meeting your neighbors, and tasting some of the bakery’s free strawberry shortcake.
Beaverton Bakery Anniversary, located at East Street and Hall in Downtown Beaverton. Friday, July 3rd, 4pm - 8pm.
