Portland company Love Bottle has released a limited edition “Portland Bottle” with graphic designer and illustrator Dan Stiles.
“The biggest thing for me was the opportunity to work with a local company who’s doing something good. A responsible company that makes a responsible product,” says Stiles. “Most of my work is in 2 dimensions like posters. Having the opportunity to work on something 3 dimensional was an exciting challenge.”
The Portland Bottle highlights Portland’s iconic cityscape landmarks like the OHSU Tram, The US Bank Tower, and The White Stag sign. The Portland Bottle is one of four bottles, each celebrating Oregon’s landscape.
Stiles has collaborated with indie bands like Death Cab for Cutie and Sonic Youth, along with major corporations like Old Navy and IBM for the past 20 years. Punk album covers, Japanese design. and vintage packaging influence his work.
Nutrition consultant Minna Yoo founded Love Bottle on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2008. The company makes reusable and durable water bottles from high-quality recyclable glass. Yoo who also has a background in neuroscience and in clinical research, created Love Bottle with the mission to infuse the feelings of love and affirmation each time one takes a sip of water. The Love Bottle has the ability to continuously influence the brain into a habit of positive and self-affirming thoughts.
You can find the Portland Bottle at Made in Oregon, Zupans and other select locations. For more information on the Love Bottle and Dan Stiles collaboration, click HERE.
