Sarah Pliner Nominated For The People’s Best New Chef Award

Portland’s own Sarah Pliner was recently nominated for
Food and Wine Magazine’s The People’s Best New Chef Award 2015. Pliner, the Reed College graduate, is a co-chef at
Aviary.
Aviary is located in the Alberta Arts district of Northeast Portland.
The People’s Best New Chef includes 10 chefs in 10 regions across America. Chefs who receive the most votes in each region will be named a finalist. The finalist who receives the most overall votes will be named The People’s Best New Chef. Voting is open until Wednesday, April 8th at 5pm EDT. The winner will then be announced on Thursday, April 9th on foodandwine.com.
Pliner will also be hosting a Vegetarian Dinner at Aviary which will showcase her passion for creative vegetable preparation.
This event will be held at Aviary, located at 1733 NE Alberta St. Portland on Thursday, April 23rd from 5pm-10pm. Tickets are $45.
