Bollywood Theater Restaurant Presents Line of Indian Spices

Saturday, August 29, 2015

Bollywood Theater and The Reluctant Trading Experiment have joined together to provide fresh Indian spices to people hoping to bring a taste of India to their homes.

Chef Troy MacLarty, the owner of Bollywood Theater Restaurant, was determined to find the most vibrant Indian spices to use in his kitchens.

Eventually, MacLarty discovered The Reluctant Trading Experiment, who are now sourcing custom masala blends from India to MacLarty.

“Every time I travel to India, I think ‘wow, everything is just so much better here’ -- the spices, the flavors. We’ve always made everything from scratch, ground our own spices and mixed our own masalas for the restaurants to replicate those tastes. But each batch of spices we received was different, so we’d have to tweak the recipe each time to achieve those flavors. I’m so excited to have access to these consistently fresh spices, harvested and blended just for Bollywood Theater, and sent directly from India to us. We can taste the difference,” MacLarty said.

The spices come directly from Kerala, an Indian state known for its unique spices.

Patrons can now purchase masala blends from Bollywood Theater’s Indian grocery market. See below for a list of the blends now available.
