The Urban League of Portland, in partnership with
IHeartMedia,
JAM’N 107.5, and Bank of America will be hosting its 22nd annual Career Connections Job Fair. Due to partnerships such as these, job seekers within the Portland area will have an opportunity to connect with a wide array of Portland-area employers who are actively seeking qualified candidates. These employers continually look to the Urban League of Portland to help them recruit skilled job candidates.
The job fair will feature employers from the Portland metropolitan area’s health care, retail, construction, government, non-profit, and corporate sectors.
This year’s participants include: Portland General Electric, Kaiser Permanente, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, NECA-IBEW, US Bank, TriMet, Country Financial, Oregon & Southern Idaho Laborers, Constructing Hope, Oregon Trades Woman Inc., Life Works NW, and many more.
"PGE looks forward to this job fair each year and, as expected, it proved to be a great opportunity to connect with dynamic and energized candidates,” said Camile Coleman of Portland General Electric's Human Resources Department. “We were able to refer many people to job opportunities and network with the other great companies present."
In addition to participating in the Career Fair, job seekers can also access thousands of job postings from local employers through The Urban League's resource library, computer lab, and web site year-round.
"Urban League of Portland's 2014 Career Fair turned out to be best job fair of the year for us,” said Oregon Health & Science University's Manger of Workforce Equality and Inclusion Riikka Salonen. “This event had great, professional candidates who were well prepared with excellent resumes, professional appearance and good questions. I cannot wait for the 2015 event!"
The 22nd Annual Career Connections Job Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd, 10:00am-3:00pm at the Double Tree Hotel located on 1000 Multnomah Street.
This is a free event and is open to the public.
