Limberlost Adventure Cycling Announces 2015 Tour Packages
Friday, January 16, 2015
The company is offering four premium, fully supported tours, including two weekends of mountain biking in Oakridge, OR, a 7-day traverse of gravel back roads through remote areas of Oregon, and an epic 8-day point-to-point tour that connects singletrack off-road cycling trails over four mountain passes.
Limberlost has been providing information and inspiring would-be bikepackers and adventure cyclists for the past three years, stoking the current adventure cycling boom with humorous and engaging accountings of their journeys. The guided tours are the next step for the company.
“Our ultimate goal for Limberlost always has been guiding others on these routes,” said co-founder Jason Britton. "But we didn’t want to offer guided tours without taking the time to make sure what we were offering was perfect. We’ve done the research, tested products, and worked out the logistics, and now we’re ready."
The tour packages include exquisite camp-cooked cuisine with a gourmet flair and ingredients sourced from Limberlost co-founder Ryan Kelley's Willamette Valley farm and other local suppliers. Refreshing beverages also accompany each ride in the form of craft beer brewed on the Oregon Coast, Limberlost's own private-label wine, and cocktails made with Oregon spirits.
The Limberlost trips are based out of Portland, OR, and include complete support, all meals, transportation, local knowledge, and mechanical assistance. Each trip is limited to six guests and is supported by three guides to provide a premium experience. The group is also available for custom adventure cycling tour packages.
