Portland's chilliest half marathon/winter party wasn't actually very chilly this year.
In fact, the Holiday Half Marathon and 5k to benefit Harper's Playground was downright balmy for an early morning in December.

After the fog lifted it was clear and sunny with the temps hovering near the 50-degree mark.
The dry out and back course started and finished at the Adidas North America Campus with a path that went up and back Willamette Boulevard.
The flat and scenic route is the only race course that is fully completed in North Portland complete with views of the historic St. John's Bridge, the Univeristy of Portland campus, and panoramic views of Downtown Portland from the bluff that butts up against this very scenic section of the city.
All finishers of the half marathon receive a LARGE and ornate festive medallion necklace that paired perfectly with their race day wear that featured everything from swift Santas to fast Frosty The Snowmans to adorable, fleet-footed elves.
After the race participants were able to warm up/chill down with craft beer seasonal brew, hearty holiday soup, hot chocolate, hot oatmeal, egg nog, and slices of bread from Dave's Killer Bread.
