Party Report: Falcon Art Community Open Studio Party

The party was hosted by Falcon artists and the patron saint of the space, developer and art supporter Brian Wannamaker, who recently purchased another intriguing space in Old Town at 321 Northwest Glisan Street.

Those in the process of working on and showing off their works in progress at the party was a who’s who of visual and performing artists including painters Alexander Rokoff, Alexandra Becker-Black, Samir Khurshid, Jerry Dickason, author Peter Zuckerman, singer/songwriter Holcombe Waller, filmmaker James Westby, the improv troupe The Liberators and the people behind X-Ray FM radio, including Jefferson Smith.
A full cocktail and wine bar was enjoyed by the over 500 guests that included Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish, former Portland Mayor Sam Adams, chef Lisa Schroeder, Randy Gragg, Henk and Arnold Pander, Scott Weaver, Jake Kindrachuk, Liz Crain, Will and Kelsey Tucker and many more.

On January 15, under a steady rain, more than 25 of Oregon-based painters, sculptors, photographers, writers and musicians showcased new works in their natural habitat, aka a sub-ground maze, at the Falcon Art Community Open Studio Party at the Falcon Art space in North Portland.
