Thorns FC Prepare to Face Seattle Reign FC

Tuesday, July 21, 2015

The NWSL’s two beloved Northwest clubs are scheduled to compete tomorrow night under the lights of Providence Park.

The match is being directly sponsored by Nike, and is being broadcasted nationally on FOX Sports Go.

Tobin Heath and Steph Catley spoke out recently about their excitement on returning from the Women's World Cup and playing in front in their home fans at Providence Park. Christine Sinclair and Nadine Angerer are amongst those also returning to Portland.

This will be the first match this season between Seattle and Portland. In 2014, Portland went 1-2 against Seattle, and the loses were brutal to say the least. However, with Thorns FC stars returning from World Cup play, Portland is optimistic to turn the tables Wednesday night.

Portland and Seattle square off Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. in Providence Park. If you don’t have tickets, catch a live stream of the game on FOX Sports Go or Thorns FC’s stream.
