Portland Meadows To Host Kentucky Derby Party

Portland Meadows will once again be hosting their annual Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 2nd. This free event will allow guests the opportunity to watch the Derby, and to place wagers if they chose.

Last year Portland Meadows had over 4,000 people attend the party.

Goorin Bros. will be at Portland Meadows from 11 am to 4 pm to crown the winners of the Ladies Hat, Best Dressed Female and the Best Dressed Male Contests. All three winners will receive a prize pack from Goorin Bros. and Portland Meadows.

The party will also include a large tent will with food, beverages, TVs and betting machines. Outside the tent, a classic Kentucky game of Cornhole Toss that will allow guests the opportunity to win even more prizes.

Live music will be performed by Kung Pao Chickens from 1 pm to 4 pm inside the tent.

Doors to Portland Meadows will open at 7 am, the first post from Churchill will be at 7:30 am, and the Derby post will be at approximately 3:24 pm.
