Timbers Acquire Jack Barmby From English Premier League

The Portland Timbers have acquired Jack Barmby from Leicester City of the English Premier League on a season-long loan, according to a report. The financial terms of the loan have not been released. 

It is also unknown when he will arrive in Portland. 

Jack Barmby 

Barmy is a 21-year-old winger who has been a member of Leicester City since 2014 but has only played for the clubs  under 21 team. 

During the 2015 season, Barmby went on loan with Football League Championship's Rotherham United  and League Two club Notts County. 

Barmby is the son of Nick Barmby, a former English Premier League veteran  and an English National Team midfielder. 

Portland Timbers 

The Timbers open up their 2016 season on Sunday, March 6 when they host the Columbus Crew at Providence Park. 

Game time is set for 1:30 p.m.
