Friday, October 24, 2014
Fryberg allegedly opened fire in the cafeteria, eyewitnesses told the Seattle Times. A student said he saw Fryberg come up to a lunch table, pull out a gun, and begin shooting students at the table.
Police responded to a 911 call from inside the school around 10:30 a.m. They searched the school grounds and surrounding area and determined there was only one shooter. The FBI has joined the investigation.
Students were evacuated from the school by authorities to a nearby church, where they are being reunited with their parents.
The Marysville School District released a statement, saying: "The Marysville Pilchuck High School is currently in lock down due to an emergency situation. Police and emergency services have responded. The Marysville School District lock down procedures will remain in effect at Marysville Pilchuck until further notice from law enforcement. We will continue to forward communication in cooperation with law enforcement.
What is believed to be Fryberg's Twitter account shows the last tweet from yesterday morning, "It won't last.... It will never last."
It won't last.... It'll never last....
