Police Dog “Hunter” Catches Two Burglars

Police and K-9 "Hunter" caught two burglars in the process of robbing a Public Storage facility on Monday, February 15 at 2:59 a.m.

David Alexander Mellis, 26, and Seng Meng Saechao, 25 were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree.

The Incident

East Precinct and Canine Unit officers responded to a report of an alarm at the Public Storage facility located at 2542 Southeast 105th Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers established containment around the facility.

As officers and K-9 "Hunter" approached the area that the suspects were believed to be, two men exited on the buildings with arms full of suspected stolen property.

Both men surrendered immediately.
