Police Body Camera Forum at Portland Community College
Wednesday, December 16, 2015
The Oregon Legislature earlier this year adopted a law requiring police officers to don body-worn cameras while on patrol. The Police Bureau is currently in the process of writing the policy for the body worn camera program, and has requested community input and feedback.
Public officials said the program, which will equip 600 officers with cameras, will begin in 2016. The program cost more than $800,000.
The Bureau is also accepting feedback on the program online. To leave a comment, visit the Portland Police Bureau website.
