Morrison Bridge will be closed to motor vehicles on Saturday, October 25 from 7 AM to as late as 7 PM while inspection and maintenance work is done on the lift span deck. Sidewalks will remain open for bicyclists and pedestrians.

On and off-ramps from the bridge to I-84 will be closed, as well as the I-5 southbound off-ramp exit 300 for City Center/ Morrison Bridge. On-ramps to the bridge will be closed at Southeast Grand Avenue and Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. However, the I-5 southbound ramp to Highway 99E/U.S. 26 will remain open. Motorists can access I-5 north at Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Everett Street.

During the closure, TriMet’s 15-Belmont line will use the Burnside Bridge in both directions.

The work is related to problems with deck panels installed in 2011 and 2012, according to Multnomah County.
