Department of Fish and Wildlife Will Use Drones to Collect Data
Friday, December 26, 2014
The project will cost nearly $50,000 to implement, including “quadcopter” drones, plus supplemental training and equipment.
The department hopes that collecting data with drones will ultimately pose less of a physical threat to its workers.
The department will work with private and public landowners to obtain written permission to access land for traditional fish and wildlife surveys, according to the report.
