25-Year-Old Man Arrested in Online Sexual Corruption Case

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Trafficking Unit arrested a 25-year-old Portland man in connection with an online sexual corruption case.

Tyler Matthew Shrum was arrested in North Portland and booked into Multnomah County Jail yesterday on charges of online sexual corruption of a child, luring a minor, attempted rape and two counts of attempted sodomy.

Police say Shrum was communicating online with undercover officers and did not have any actual contact with a minor. Police did not reveal the website Shrum used, citing to ongoing investigative reasons.
