video: WildFang’s PDX-Made “Evan Rachel Would” Hits The Airwaves

Friday, March 27, 2015

Evan Rachel Wood as a mascot in the video "Evan Rachel Would."

Evan Rachel Wood's fashion video for local clothing hotspot, Wildfang, with music stars Kim Gordon and Beth Ditto as well as Blazer science-fiction freak Robin Lopez has hit the tube. Youtube, that is.

GoLocalPDX reported about the filming of it earlier this year.

The short film called "Evan Rachel Would" for Wildfang was directed James Westby, who is best known for his work on "The Auteur," "Rid of Me" and "Film Geek" and features actress Evan Rachel Wood do all sorts of stuff—singing, dancing, mascoting, directing a play and playing cards—while wearing WildFang ensembles.

Evan Rachel Wood is a big fan of Wildfang's patented, tomboy-style clothing that was founded by Emma Mcilroy and Julia Parsley in 2010 and has landed on the backs of stars such as Wood, Kate Mara and Ellen Page.

The film, which includes local actor Darius Pierce as well is gaining traction with the social media hashtag/t-shirt #EVANRACHELWOULD.

Wildfang is also celebrating two years of awesome tomboy fashions, with a birthday bash on Thursday April 2nd. Come out and shop 15 percent off in-store items ( we’re digging the electric blue Thames Boots) and drink free PBR and Union Wine. Also dance to music by local rock n’ roll band Summer Cannibals, and a DJ set by electronic producer and singer, Natasha Kmeto.

Wildfang Turns 2!, 1230 SE Grand Avenue, 7 pm, Thursday, April 2nd, Free. For more information click HERE
