For end of the summer entertainment, make your way to the
Oregon State Fair, which ends on Sunday, and make sure to dress accordingly!
Many flock to this annaul event, which takes place in north Salem, to eat fried cuisine (fried butter anyone?), rock out at the free concerts, drink some local wine, or ride the classic Tilt-A-Whirl. The weather forecasts predicts temperatures in the late seventies, so make sure to wear something comfy and stylish, but with an extra layer for when temperatures drop after dark.
But don't be boring - it's a fair, after all! Instead of opting for a plain slate look (white shirt and light denim shorts) get a little creative and inspired by the fair’s bright colors, greasy food, and entertaining atmosphere.
Create a girlie look with animal printed summer dresses and ballet flats or go for a western theme inspired by the horse races with a simple horse necklace and vintage cowboy boots.
The food print clothing trend is a perfect way to add color, interesting patterns, and 50’s inspired pop art to a look. Pair over-the-top prints with basics that may already be in your wardrobe, like denim cut-offs and closed back sandals.
Holographic flatbed sandals or neon high tops are a great way to make a statement at concerts, match them with a one of a kind moto jacket or a tie dyed tank for a vibrant look.
Remember, the fair attracts thousands every year - if you want to stand out from the crowd and be the fanciest at the fair, be fashion forward with your look.
