TEDxPortland is back and it is the sixth year in Portland.  It is local and inspiring. As always it of brings thinkers, doers and creators to the stage to share their ideas and inspiration. Portland's own presenting visionaries will be on hand, as will future-thinking leaders from around the country. 

What is it?

The iconic TED conference in many ways transformed how we share ideas and inspire. The TEDx is, "think of TEDx as hosting an awesome dinner party, with great food, inspirational videos, brilliant speakers and mind-blowing conversation."

The daylong event includes 13 live TEDx Talks, multiple artistic performances, complimentary breakfast snack and a happy hour celebration in the adjacent Keller Park. Speakers include Elias Cairo, co-owner of Olympia Provisions and best-selling author, former University of Oregon quarterback Joey Harrington, and high school senior Nadya Okamoto who heads a non-profit Camions of Care, among others. 

Now, the business part.

TEDxPortland will be held on April 9, 2016, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and tiickets, which are now available for sale, are $100 and can be purchased at TEDxPortland.com. Attendees will also receive a one-of-a-kind Give Backpack, and an award-wining event program, a $120 value.

TEDxPortland is, as the "x" indicates, an independently produced TED event organized by more than 50 local volunteers. TED talks started in 1984, allowing prominent figures in technology, entertainment and design (what TED stands for) a forum to speak about their expertise.
