Spotted In Portland: Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder

Basketball superstar Kevin Durant was spotted on the campus of Nike on Monday afternoon.

Durant, who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was here for seasonal meetings with Nike footwear and apparel teams (who absolutely adore the dude).

But it wasn't all meetings for one of the brighest stars on the boards.

A "surprise" birthday party was held for Durant (who turns 26 on Sept. 29) in the Mia Hamm Courtyard, which on Monday, was set up like a kid's party with a giant basketball pinata full of t-shirts, corn dogs, a hoop-shooting game and cake.

And any and all available employees gathered together to sing "Happy Birthday" to an appreciative Durant, who seemed to be truly touched by the outpouring of love from his Nike "family."
