Alton Brown

Food Network's Alton Brown

Tuesday night Food Network’s Alton Brown unleashed his unique brand of quirky, Portlandia-ish friendly humor and culinary-science antics on the stage of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The sold-out two-hour show was a spicy "blend of stand up comedy, food experimentation, talk show antics, multimedia lecture, and, for the first time...live music."

Those who didn’t get a chance to see “Edible Inevitable” tour stop in Portland, had plenty of chances to see him around town and on Twitter.

One look at his twitter feed and it looks like the celebrity chef/author made sure to hit plenty of this city’s hot spots while he was in town including stops at Boxer Ramen, Clyde Common (where he had one of bartender Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s infamous Negroni’s) and Tasty N Sons where he declared he was “opening an elastic pants emporium next door” after having the “best chicken liver pate ever. Period.”

Here are his thoughts on peanut butter.
