Update 8.28.14: Actress Lucy Lui was in downtown Portland Thursday afternoon.  She popped into Alder & Co. on Southwest 12th Avenue.

Lui said she was in town to shop and "visit family."  She was mostly interested in stores like The Good Mod and mid-century vintage places.

If you have some suggestions for her, mention them to her in a tweet.

GoLocalPDX caught wind that Lui was coming into town after she mentioned it on Twitter. 

The star of the blockbuster movie Charlie's Angels and television's Elementary snapped a photo of herself with filmmaker Eli Roth on a flight that arrived in Portland on Tuesday afternoon.

Liu's previous tweets had placed her at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. 

Roth came to town in support of the Portland Film Festival currently showcasing indie films in our city.
