SNL Alum Tim Meadows Comes to Portland

Meadows is known for his famous characters like Leon Phelps and incredible impressions of pop-culture icons like Ike Turner and Sammy Davis Jr. that appeared frequently on SNL. Now, he will bring his unique brand of stand-up comedy to Portland.
Meadows was born in Highland Park, Michigan and raised in Detroit. He went on to study television and radio broadcasting at Wayne State University before beginning his comedy career, performing improv at the Soup Kitchen Saloon.
He eventually moved to Chicago, where he joined legendary comedy group Second City, before going on to join SNL in 1991. Meadows has also appeared in many films, including “the Ladies Man” and “School of Rock.”
Meadows will appear at the Helium Comedy Club for two shows, one at 7:30 PM and one at 10:30 PM, on Friday, November 19, Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. For more information on the shows or to get your tickets, visit the Helium Comedy Club website.
