Portland filmmaker Matt McCormick launched a KickStarter crowdfunding campaign to raise money for production of 'Buzz One Four,' a documentary about a Cold War Air Force B-52 bomber.

McCormick has been working on this story for the past year but needs to raise $25,000 by October 22 to make a feature length documentary. So far the campaign has raised just over $5,000

The B-52 bomber that the documentary is centered around, was loaded with two thermonuclear bombs that crashed approximately 100 miles from Washington DC in 1964.  Although the crash has remained classified and details are still suppressed by the Air Force, McCormick said he knows the story well because his grandfather, Major Thomas W. McCormick was the pilot of the plane.
