Party Report: Picnic Book Launch Party at Olympia Provisions

The perfectly-timed launch party was held at Olympia Provisions in Northwest Portland where food and beverages were generously provided by the restaurant and, Alma Chocolate, Bergschrund Beer, Brooks Winery, Bull in China, Elk Cove Vineyards, Marshall’s Haute Sauce, Maurice, Pacific Pie Co. and Quin Candy.
This lawn-friendly tome, penned by friends in the Portland Picnic Society (with illustrations by artist Emily Isabella) was inspired by these food writers love of throwing ridiculously over-the-top picnics, but dialed down just enough so that a normal person would actually execute the ideas.
Next on these increasingly busy authors schedule will be a book signing at Powell's on Hawthorne Saturday May 16th from 2 to 4 p.m. Naturally, their will be picnic-friendly nibbles at that one too.
