The weather was perfect for this year’s Pride weekend, and seemed to shine most brightly on both the downtown Pride Parade and Waterfront Pride Festival at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
Thousands gathered along the parade route an in the park to join in on cheering on the LGBT including parade Grand Marshall Kate Brown who even jumped on one of the Dykes on Bikes motorcycles before heading to her official car.
Over 150 groups participated, including GoLocalPDX’s own Byron Beck, who danced his booty off on Chipotle’s giant disco burrito.
The parade kicked off at 11 am and is considered fairly short due to the fact it stays mainly in the North Park Blocks and Old Town/China Town. But the party lasted all day long. Boy, did it ever.
