NEW: KINK Radio To Host Free Show, “The Decemberists”

Friday, January 16, 2015

KINK Radio 101.9 FM will host a free show of The Decemberists at the Bing Lounge Monday Jan. 19.

The band will perform four songs and give a brief interview. The free show is first come first served.

The performance comes just one day before the release of, “What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World,” The Decemberists first studio album in four years. Portland Mayor Charlie Hales will declare Jan. 20 “The Decemberists Day”.

Program Director, Brad Dolbeer, commented on the announcement, “This will be a great day for Portland, The Decemberists and KINK," said KINK program director Brad Dolbeer. "They are one of our favorite bands anywhere, and the fact that they call Portland home makes it that much more special.”

The Decemberists show will be held at the Bing Lounge in downtown Portland, 1210 SW 6th Avenue, Jan. 19 at 12:00 p.m.
