Free Metered Parking in Portland on Wednesday

Monday, November 09, 2015

Visitors to the City of Portland will have slightly heavier pockets on Wednesday, as there will be free metered parking throughout the city in honor of Veterans Day.

Electronic meters will be programmed not to accept any payment on Wednesday, while residents should refrain from depositing coins into traditional meters.

Metered parking in the City of Portland is free on nine holidays each year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
