Fit For Life: Thank You For Asking…

Saturday, February 06, 2016

“Who the hell is Matt Espeut?”, somebody replied to a friend’s Facebook post, after the friend told someone else to “Ask Matt Espeut” when inquiring about fitness. So in case you don’t know who I am, and what I’m about, and why I do what I do, read on… I’m the guy who has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds:  That’s right - thousands. I have been a personal trainer for over 25 years, and I have helped hundreds of people get fit, and lose unwanted body fat. I have worked with hundred pound losers, and many others have lost high double digits. Now that I have opened Providence Fit Body Bootcamp, I can help even more. Just last year alone I have taken on over a hundred new clients, and have been helping them achieve amazing results, so that total is rising rapidly. I keep track! I’m the guy on a mission to help thousands more achieve amazing fitness and fat loss results.  Before I had my own gym, I was limited to what I could do training people one on one.  When I worked for another gym, my hands were tied with the number of people I could reach on a daily basis, but now that I have my own place, I’m on the rise, and currently see as many as 150 people a day.  I run 9 sessions daily, and am capable of handling 30 at a time, helping more people achieve their goals, but still with time for individual attention and nutrition plans.

I deliver a no nonsense approach to health and fitness. First step is to cure a negative mindset, and help you believe that you can accomplish your goals, regardless of your situation. I don’t accept excuses, and I always have a counter punch ready for you when you fabricate one for yourself. I make it simple for you to achieve, but not easy. I tell you straight up that this requires hard work and discipline, and a positive mindset, and there is no simple fix or magic bullet. All you need to do is show up 3 to 5 times per week, follow a simple nutrition plan, drink lots of water, get adequate rest, and you are on your way. When you show up to a workout, you will work hard, but you’ll do it safely, efficiently, and have some fun while doing it. So, I like to think of myself as that guy who owns Providence’s best results driven gym. There are other programs cheaper, even the bargain basement specials of $10 a month, but all you are paying for is access to a bunch of sophisticated equipment. I think of it like a rent-a-center for gym equipment. You get time in the gym, but not much personal attention or knowledge provided on what to do with all that. Not here. As a matter of fact, you will not see a single piece of equipment in my facility that requires electricity. We base out workouts on functional strength and metabolic conditioning, using a variety of bodyweight movements, with simple resistance equipment such as battle ropes, medicine balls, dumbbells, free weight barbells, plyo boxes, sand bags, and resistance tubing. The stuff that gets you real results. No treadmills, elliptical trainers, and recumbent bikes. We also structure and coach our workouts so you are actually working out the whole time you are here. Not watching television, or checking your phone.

I care

I care, and I do everything I can to get you the results you sign up for. There are a lot of gym owners out there, or chain facilities, who care until you make the first payment. And you might not ever seem them working out themselves. They don’t walk the walk, or talk the talk – but I do.  I stay with you through your journey until you achieve success. I will follow up with your nutrition plan, and send constant emails to you so you stay focused. Yes I am a pain in your derriere, but that’s what you signed up for…results. I am certified and constantly go to continuing training. I’m part of a large group of pros all around the country who share information with each other about techniques and programs that work – that keep you motivated and constantly closer to your goals. So when you finally decide that you are tired of messing around with fitness routines that don’t work, or you are tired of wasting valuable time and hard earned money on programs that get you nowhere, who are you gonna call?  After you work with me awhile, maybe you can leave a testimonial on my Facebook page, so that guy who put the question on my page will learn just who I am.
