Hi! My name is Rory!

185 cats and 103 dogs found homes in December 2014, marking the most successful “Operation Silent Night” adoption month for Multnomah County Animal Shelter in at least 10 years.

“Community members really answered the call and helped find permanent homes for Portland’s homeless pets. We hope to keep up the momentum in 2015 with folks continuing to visit the shelter in Troutdale and adopting, fostering or using the many services we have to offer,” said MCAS director Mike Oswald.

Here are some dogs and cats from Multnomah County Animal Services who still need loving homes.

Hey I got named Snowman 'cause I kind of look like Frosty. I'm an interesting looking 3 year old Pitbull Australian Shepherd mix but other people might have a different idea about what I am. I weigh about 55lbs. And in case you couldn't see from my picture I have one brown eye and one blue. Friendly, active, playful, food motivated kind of says it all about me. I have some itchy spots from those darned fleas so I'd appreciate it if my new owner would use a good quality flea control regularly so I can be comfortable.
