Hi! My name is Beach Boy.

The Multnomah County Animal Services is hosting “Operation Silent Night” to find safe and loving homes for every shelter animal by December 31.

Adoption fees will match the date, for all animals over the age of 6 months. For example, you can can adopt for just three dollars on December 3rd, four dollars on December 4th, and so on through December 31st. Puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be part of this special deal.

Breed: Domestic Shorthair/ Mix

Hey! Can you see how handsome I am? My name is Snowball. I am a stunning white Shorthair who is just over 1.5 years old. My previous family said I was good with children, am harness-trained to walk outside, have good house manners, like to lounge on laps, and really like to play. I don't like dogs, but I did live with other cats as a youngster. My family also said I can get nervous around new people and places, more-so with women than men. So just be a little patient with me - and feed me lots of yummy treats! I'm already neutered, and just have a bit more filling out to do before I'm fully grown. If you think we might be good match, come down to the shelter and ask to meet Snowball!

Meet Bensen. At 12 years young he still has plenty of life and love left to give. Bensen was picked up as a stray and after a few weeks at the shelter he began to show signs of depression. We immediately got him into foster care and he has since shown great physical and mental improvement. He is back at the shelter now, ready for his forever home! He has lots of character and only asks that you walk him daily so he can fulfill his sense of adventure. Bensen gets along well with other dogs, but he would ideally have his new owner all to himself. I also have a cute curly tail, like a Monkey, and am a smaller cat. I'm not much of a climber. I do love to be close to my people and my panda stuffy. Some of my specialties are "helping out" my foster mom with her yoga poses, cuddling, and being a sweet companion. I also enjoy hanging out with the gentle dogs in my foster home, and with a patient introduction may do well with your friendly dog(s) or cat. I've been through a bit before coming to the shelter, so I'm looking for a calm, loving environment. I also need to be an indoor only cat because I am FIV+. It will take me a few weeks for me to get comfortable in a new place, but once I do, I have so much love to give.
